I started this all about 15 years ago. A couple buddies were rockers and I was just fascinated by what they were finding. amethyst, tourmaline, topaz, aquamarine, quartz crystal and .... So I started bugging them to let me collect. One day one could not go so I was invited along. I am not sure if it was a test but we hiked up 2 mountains and covered 8 plus miles.( thought I was gonna die!). But we went to an old Amethyst mine and I found some ~!!!!!!!! Needless to say I was hooked.

After a couple years I thought I might be able to earn a couple $$$ selling minerals. Well the first show I sold $ 1300 worth plus traded tons of material. So I was hooked selling. It did not take long for me to figure it was best to keep my day job. Stark Hill Gems has been around for just over 10 years, almost 4 years selling on eBay. I "do" 4 to 10 shows per year depending on more important things like family and work. Also I am a volunteer fire fighter and that comes before eBay !!!

I try to list every week, any where from 10 to 50 auctions. MY selling is basically to support my hobby. At every show I try to add a least one or more specimens to my collection. So you are helping me build a VERY nice collection ( thanks ). You might find me bidding on the same items on eBay as you. If I really want the specimen be prepared to open you wallet.
